FAITH FORMATION

Faith formation is essential in the Catholic Church, serving as the foundation for a lifelong journey of spiritual growth and understanding. Through faith formation, individuals of all ages are introduced to the teachings of Christ and the beliefs, traditions, and values of the Church. It equips them with the knowledge and tools to live out their faith authentically in a complex and ever-changing world. For children, faith formation fosters a love for God and a sense of belonging within the Church community, while for adults, it offers a deeper comprehension of Scripture, the sacraments, and moral teachings. This journey strengthens personal and communal faith, empowering individuals to witness Christ’s love in their daily lives and make meaningful contributions to their parish and society. Ultimately, faith formation nurtures a relationship with God that provides guidance, purpose, and hope, grounding Catholics in their identity as disciples and stewards of the Gospel.

RELIGIOUS
EDUCATION

A registration form must be completed and submitted before a student can enroll in our Religious Education program. At Sts. Peter & Paul, we strongly believe that our parish must ensure that a lack of financial resources should not prevent a child from being educated in the faith. For that reason, Religious Education classes are provided to the children of the parish TUITION FREE!

Students must be in a Catholic Religious Education Program for one (1) year before enrollment in the program for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and for enrollment in the Confirmation program.

A copy of the student’s baptismal certificate must be presented to the parish office before the reception of the Sacraments of First Reconciliation & First Eucharist and the Sacrament of Confirmation (except for students who were baptized here at Sts. Peter & Paul).

Parents/Guardians/Sponsors of students in the Sacramental Preparation Programs will be required to attend certain Meetings & Para Liturgical Services.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is administered to students in the 10th Grade and above.

Contact our Director of Religious Education, Tina Guyden, via email at tina@stspandp.com or the Parish Office at 404-241-5862 for more information.
